排隊應用題是小一面試及校內測考的常見題型，核心概念包括：「序數」（排第幾）與「基數」（有幾個）的分別；有人離開時要先減去、再數位置；左數右數時自己會被重複計算，所以要「減一」；「原本有幾人」是逆向思考，用加法還原；「我前面有幾人」則是整體減去部分（記得連自己也減去）。四款題目反覆操練 20 以內的加減，並訓練小朋友將文字情境轉化為算式，再進一步轉化為圖像。

Queue word problems are classics in Primary One interviews and school tests. The core ideas: ordinals ("which position") versus cardinals ("how many"); subtracting leavers before finding a position; counting from both ends means you count yourself twice — so subtract one; "how many at first" is working backwards with addition; and "how many ahead of me" is the whole minus its parts (don't forget to subtract yourself!). The four sublevels drill addition and subtraction within 20 and train children to turn words into equations — and equations into pictures.

這個遊戲沒有計時器，請讓小朋友慢慢想清楚才作答。如果看不明白文字，可以開啟「圖片提示」— 圖中金色圈起的就是主角，藍色和橙色底線標出題目數到的範圍。答錯時，鼓勵小朋友用手指、公仔或積木親手排一排：「你排這裡，前面有六個人，走了兩個，還有幾個？」能親手排出來，才代表真正理解。熟練之後，可以關掉圖片提示，挑戰只看文字列式。

There is no timer in this game — let your child take their time and think it through. If the words are hard to follow, switch on the Picture Hint: the gold ring marks the main character, and the blue and orange underlines show the ranges being counted. When an answer is wrong, encourage your child to act it out with fingers, toys, or blocks: "You stand here, six people are ahead, two leave — how many are left?" Being able to build the queue with their own hands is real understanding. Once confident, switch the picture off and try solving from the words alone.

🏠 生活延伸練習 · Everyday Practice

日常排隊 — 超級市場付款、等滑梯、等校巴 — 都是即場練習的好機會：「你前面有多少人？後面有多少人？全隊一共有多少人？」也可以反過來問：「全隊十個人，你排第四，後面有幾個人？」將數學融入生活情境，小朋友自然會明白：數學不是工作紙上的符號，而是每日都用得到的工具。

Everyday queues — the supermarket checkout, waiting for the slide, lining up for the school bus — are perfect practice opportunities: "How many people are ahead of you? How many behind? How many in the whole line?" Or flip it around: "Ten people in line, you're fourth — how many are behind you?" Weaving math into daily life shows children that math isn't just symbols on a worksheet — it's a tool they use every day.
